The Pain You Can Name Has a Source

June 25, 20253 min read

And it’s not what you’ve been told to fix.

You can name the pain.

That part’s easy.

You’re tired of gaining weight.
You’re tired of trying to fix your marriage.
You’re tired of feeling stuck…financially, emotionally, spiritually.

You’re tired of the pain itself.

But what if the real exhaustion is coming from chasing relief in the wrong places?

Most of what you’ve been taught to fix is the symptom.

Not the source.

Eat this.
Say that.
Do more.
Push through.
Grind harder.

But none of it names what’s really off.
None of it touches the order.

And when your life is out of order, no amount of discipline, desire, or strategy will sustain you.

This is why the “solutions” haven’t stuck.

Some people lose 40 pounds and still hate themselves.
Some couples do six rounds of therapy and still can’t find each other.
Some leaders hit milestones and still feel dead inside.

Because you can’t fix a soul-level fracture with surface-level tactics.
You can’t build sustainable peace on top of a misaligned foundation.

Not everyone breaks the same way.

But the source is always the same.

Some bury themselves in service.
Some numb with food.
Some chase validation through sex, success, or addiction.
Some collapse inward and disappear.

But beneath all of it?

You’re out of rhythm with how you were designed to live.

Alignment isn’t a vibe.

It’s a sacred reordering.

It’s not about routines or digital detoxes.
It’s not self-help wrapped in spiritual language.

It’s about returning to your original design as the person you were created to be.

For me, it’s Faith. Family. Fitness. Fellowship. Field.
In that order.
Always.

When I forget the order, my life still looks fine on the outside.
But internally, I’m fractured.
Gripping.
Over-performing.
Spiritually dried out.

I know this because I’ve lived it.

I’ve lost 82 pounds and still felt misaligned.
I’ve led a $60M Navy program and felt spiritually empty.
I’ve had a wife of 28 years walk away.
I’ve missed my kids’ births.
I’ve come back from a coma.
I’ve survived a family member’s addiction.

I rebuilt a life that looked impressive…
but was still
out of order.

This isn’t theory.
It’s testimony.
And I’m not offering answers.

I’m offering a mirror.

Because if you can name the pain…

you deserve to know it has a source.

And that source isn’t failure.
It’s disconnection.

You weren’t created to live out of sync.
You were created to move in divine rhythm.
And when you do?

The symptoms begin to shift.
Not because they’re fixed.
But because they’re no longer needed.

Want help naming what’s off?

That’s why I created the Clarity Assessment.
It’s the same tool I used when I was buried in a version of my life that looked fine, but felt like slow suffocation.

This isn’t coaching.
It’s a mirror.
And it will help you begin the shift back into who you were created to be.

If you’re not ready to take it or comment publicly, DM me.
You won’t get a pitch. You’ll get presence.
Because I don’t just teach this. I live it.
