Who You Were Created to Be: Returning to Your God-Given Design
Many people today are searching for clarity on who they are. They feel out of alignment, disconnected from their purpose, relationships, or sense of peace. They may have achieved success, kept up appearances, even done “all the right things”… and yet, deep down, something still feels off.
If that’s you, you’re not alone. And more importantly, you’re not broken.
You may be out of alignment with your design.
Not your self-constructed identity.
Not who the world told you to be.
But who God created you to be, before expectations, performance, and pain took over.
You Were Created with Intentionality
David writes, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).
Your body was not a mistake.
Your wiring was not random.
Your life was not meant to be shaped by pressure or pain, but by purpose.
You were designed with a specific biological sex.
That is not oppressive. That is ordered.
In Genesis 1:27, we read, “Male and female He created them.”
It is not a social construct, it is God’s creation.
We acknowledge that some people are born with chromosomal anomalies, such as XXY, intersex traits, and other rare conditions. These occur infrequently (about 1 in 1,000 people), and while they reflect the complexity and fragility of life in a fallen world (Genesis 3), they are not signs of alternate designs, but disruptions in the original one. Like all forms of human brokenness, they are the result of creation's groaning under the weight of sin and suffering.
Yet even in this brokenness, whether it appears in our bodies, minds, or behaviors shaped by trauma and misdirected conditioning, God remains the author of life. Every person bears His image, including those born with differences. The original design still holds and speaks life into each of us. Rather than reject those who carry these unique burdens, we are called to embrace them with the same compassion and dignity we extend to all who bear the wounds of the Fall.
Masculine and Feminine Are Sacred, Not Arbitrary
Each person carries both masculine and feminine energy. This isn’t just physical, it’s energetic, relational, and purposeful. These energies are not about stereotypes; they are about design and flow.
Masculine energy builds, protects, leads, and initiates – it penetrates.
Feminine energy nurtures, radiates, responds, and creates – it receives.
Sometimes, a man may need to access his feminine side, especially in deep emotion, creativity, or nurturing moments. A woman may need to lead from her masculine side, especially in protection, provision, or leadership seasons. There is beauty in flexibility. But there is also an order in design.
When a relationship functions in reversed polarity, with the woman consistently leading from masculine energy and the man operating primarily in feminine energy, the polarity inverts.
And while that can work for a time, it’s often unsustainable. Eventually, one or both will want to return to their natural energetic lead. If that shift doesn’t happen together, polarity begins to weaken, not because it disappeared, but because the energetic tension no longer complements.
And when polarity breaks:
Desire fades
Trust erodes
Roles blur
Identity suffers
This isn’t just a relational issue. It’s a spiritual one. God created polarity for partnership, peace, and purpose. And ignoring that design, even unknowingly, disconnects us from the wholeness we long for.
Alignment Begins with Knowing Your Design
So how do you get back to the person God created you to be?
That question drove me into deep personal work. It led me through biblical study, trauma recovery, leadership development, and a reframing of systems like Human Design through a God-centered lens.
What I discovered, and what I now guide others through, is what I call the .1% Effect℠. It’s the part of you that’s utterly unique. While 99.9% of your DNA is shared with every other human being, it’s the .1% that contains your divine fingerprint, your God-given energy, God-given gifts, and divine pathways.
These elements make up your God-Given Energetic Blueprint℠, a faith-aligned map of how your energy flows, how you’re wired to lead and connect, and how to return to the peace of who you truly are. This isn’t a new identity. It’s the original one, restored.
What Happens When We Live Out of Alignment
We weren’t meant to live disconnected from our design. But sin, caused by our shadows, trauma and conditioning, teach us to abandon it. Sin, at its core, is not just bad behavior. It is disconnection from God’s intent. It’s missing the mark.
It leads us to trust our wounds and conditioning more than our Creator. It convinces us to perform instead of embody, to please instead of live in peace. When we lead from the wrong energy, chase the wrong goals, or try to become someone we were never created to be, we may still function, but we never truly flourish. The ache many people feel isn’t from failure. It’s from misalignment.
But what sin from shadow, trauma, and conditioning distorts Jesus can restore.
He doesn’t just redeem your past.
He realigns you with purpose.
He restores your design.
He reconciles you to your true identity, body, soul, and spirit.
Your calling.
